Building the global positioning system for uninhabited planets and natural satellites. Space Colonization Journal, Issue 7, 2014.
The concept of building the global positioning system for an uninhabited planet without astronomical points use on its surface is proved. Instead of astronomical points it is proposed to use optical beacons, and their position relative to the stars to measure with a goniometer placed on board of the planet satellite. The concept is considered in relation to the establishment of high-precision selenodetic coordinate system during the mission “Luna-Glob”.
